NATO STO Excellence Award to SET-250 Research Task Group on “Multidimensional Radar Imaging”

The SET-250 Research Task Group on “Multidimensional Radar Imaging”, chaired by Prof. Marco Martorella (Vice Director of Lab RaSS), received by NATO STB the prestigious NATO STO Excellence Award (SEA).

The SEA is the highest award within the NATO STO to acknowledge scientific and technological excellence of a team. Formed under the SET Panel, the team (SET-250) produced innovative algorithms to fully exploit multi-dimensional radar imaging systems, and to significantly increase their impact on automatic target recognition. This prestigious award recognizes the team’s outstanding original work, which holds considerable military relevance and benefit, while also fostering significant international collaboration.

The Award Ceremony is scheduled to take place during the STB dinner on Wednesday evening, 18 September 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden. Furthermore, on that afternoon, the team will have the opportunity to showcase the exceptional contributions made by SET-250 during the STB session.

The RaSS Laboratory congratulates Professor Martorella for the prestigious award received, which testifies our Vice Director’s excellent and enduring contribution to radar systems research, one of the main research activities of the RaSS.
