Anna Lisa Saverino
Head of Research
Dr. Anna Lisa Saverino graduated in Telecommunication Engineering (105/110) in 2006 at the University of Pisa. She received the title of Qualified Engineer in 2007. In the same year, She carried out an apprenticeship in a national industry in the field of home automation systems. This experience has allowed her to gain knowledge on embedded systems used to control and monitor home and naval environment. From 2008 – 2010, She was Ph.D. student in Radar and Remote Sensing at Ph.D. School ”Leonardo da Vinci” – University of Pisa. During this period, She has been granted with a scholarship, “Study of an adaptive transceiver for HF-OTH skywave radar”, funded by CNIT. She carried out the role of the Teaching Assistant for the course of Signals and Systems at University of Pisa, in 2009. In 2010, She received the Ph.D. degree at University of Pisa. Since 2008, she has been involved as a researcher in several projects funded by the Italian ministries (Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of University and Research, etc.) and European organisations (EU Commission, EDA, ESA, NATO). The research activities carried out in the field of these projects, have allowed her to liaise with several universities and research institutes and have led to the publication of some scientific papers and numerous technical reports. From May 2014 to June 2020, She has been a CNIT permanent researcher at the RaSS (Radar and Surveillance Systems) National Laboratory in Pisa. Since 2020, She has been a CNIT Technical Head at the RaSS (Radar and Surveillance Systems) National Laboratory in Pisa. She is cofounder of a radar company named ECHOES S.r.l. specialized in the design, development and manufacturing of innovative radar systems and sub-systems. Her major research interests are in the field of radar systems, HF-OTH systems (radar and telecommunication), Passive Radar, Cognitive Radar, Software Defined Radar, intelligent transport system, radar signal processing, imaging, classification, waveform design and space debris detection.
