Alessandro Corucci
Head of Research
Alessandro Corucci was born in Pisa, August 1, 1976. He received the Laurea degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy in 2003. After two years of scholarship at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa and three years as a consultant at Altran, in 2008 he joined the National Interuniversity Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT).
In 2013 he became part of the permanent staff of the CNIT-RaSS (Radar and Surveillance Systems) Laboratory in Pisa and since 2021 he is Technical Head of Rass; in 2017 he is co-founder of the start-up namely Free Space srl whose mission is the production of devices for transmission, receiving and processing of electromagnetic signals. To date he has gained a twenty years of experience in Applied Electromagnetism, EM-Modelling, EMC/EMI/RADHAZ, Wireless Propagation in complex scenarios, Antennas, Software Development, Measurements, and Project Management. He has carried out and been PEM (Project Engineering Manager) of numerous projects financed by MMI, MoD, private companies, etc..
Some of these projects are related to:
- 5G antennas decoupling;
- Simulation, surveys and measurements of EMC/EMI/RADHAZ issues aboard ships;
- Antennas on platform analysis;
- Electromagnetic environmental monitoring;
- Simulation and prototyping of innovative radiating elements;
- High frequency ray-tracing software development and propagation simulation;
- Localization plans antennas for municipalities.
