Nunzia Fontana

Nunzia_FontanaNunzia Fontana was born in 1984. She received the Bachelor degree and the Master degree in Telecommunications Engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Pisa (Italy) in 2006 and in 2008 respectively. From January 2009 to December 2011 she conducted her Ph.D. in Remote Sensing at the Department of Information Engineering, University of Pisa, by achieving the title of Doctor Europæus. In 2011 she carried out an internship at Queen Mary, University of London. Since 2009 she works with CNIT (Italian Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications), in a number of projects in the field of antenna design and applied electromagnetism. From January 2012 to June 2016 she conducted her research activity as Post-doc researcher with a scholarship funded by Lab Rass (CNIT) at the Department of Information Engineering. She worked at University of Pisa as teaching assistant from March 2010 to December 2015, and as external lecturer from November 2016 to December 2016. From July 2016 she is a CNIT Researcher.

Her main research topics include: antenna design in the HF and VHF band; impedance matching networks design; RF coils simulation for Magnetic Resonance (MR); bioelectromagnetics.

She is afferent to CNIT (from 2009), to Lab Rass (from 2011) and to INFN (Istituto Nazionale Fisica Nucleare) (from 2012).

The results of her research activity have been currently published on several international scientific journals and on a number international conference proceedings.
