Fabrizio Cuccoli

Dr. Fabrizio Cuccoli received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in electronic engineering in 1996 from the Università di Firenze and the Ph.D. in “Methods and technologies for environmental monitoring” from the Università della Basilicata, Italy in 2001.  From 2000 to 2009 he was researcher for the Interuniversity National Consortium for Telecommunications (CNIT) c/o the Department of Information Engineering, Università di Firenze. Since 2009 he has been an Head of Research  for the Radar and Surveillance Systems Laboratory (RaSS) of the CNIT. His main research activity is in the area of atmospheric remote sensing (weather events, water vapor and atmospheric gaseous components) through active systems as weather radars, microwave radio links, lasers.He has been involved in research projects funded by European Union, European Space Agency, Italian Space Agency, Ministry of  Defence, Regional Administrations, small and large private companies.He is co-authored of  more than 110 papers presented in leading international journals and conferences in the field of remote sensing.

He was three times referee for the European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET) and two times for the European Commission (FP6 and FP7).

He has been reviewer of papers and conference proceedings for the main publishing societies that work in field of remote sensing.
